Terre Haute, Ind., January 22.-- Penny Ethington, a pipefitter at the distillary, injured at yesterday's explosion, died this morning in great agony. This makes the ?th death. John Slavens, another employee, who was hurled sixty yards and was pressed down by a hot iron from the boiler falling on him, may die tonight. The tenor of the Coroner's evidence today suggests criminal carelessness or incompetency in the management of the biolers and engines, owing to the dissipation of the engineer and his lack of experience.
