BURIED MOTHER, HUSBAND DIES ON HER RETURN
Double Loss Sustained by Mrs. E. N. Van Duser, Formerly of Muscatine.

Muscatine. la., April 6.-- Taken ill while his wife was in Muscatine to attend the funeral of her mother, Mrs. Mary Slavin, who passed away March 26, E. N. Van Duser died Saturday at his home in Rome, N. Y., according to word received from Mrs. Van Duser by her sister, Mrs. R. C. Zoller, 609 Sycamore street. Mrs. Zoller left immediately for Rome to be with her sister.

Mrs. Van Duser. who was formerly Miss Dorothy Slavin of Muscatine, received a letter while here stating that her husband was suffering from a throat affliction, and while his condition was not regarded as serious, she left for home immediately after the funeral of her mother. Mr. Van Duser was an accountant at the state school for crippled children at Rome.
