THE KNIFE.

A hackman, named Thomas Slaven, was considerably sliced at a house of ill fame kept by Ann Coburn, one night last week. Slaven is said to have driven a party of young bloods to the house in question, and insisted on "mixing in," when he was persuaded to desist by the pointed argument of a knife gently slipped under his fifth rib. We have heard of no arrests.
