A frightful accident occurred a few days ago at Kelley's Island, which is described by a correspondent as follows: "A little child about four years old, belonging to Mr. Slaven, fell from a chair and caught on a large sliver, which stuck out from the door casing, under his jaw and it went up through his mouth and cheek, the end coming out a little under his eye. His mother looked up and seeing his predicament, went to him, and had to lift him up to unhook him from the sliver. His feet were a few inches from the floor as he hung there speechless. He is getting along well.
