TWO NEW SMALL POX CASES DEVELOP HERE; U.H.S. NOT TO CLOSE.

Everyone in Urbana must be vaccinated if the small pox epidemic is to be effectively checked, Mayor W. F. Burres declared yesterday.

The Urbana High School will not be closed because only one new case has been discovered, and 85 per cent of the pupils have been vaccinated, leaving only a small part of the student body not immune.

Mayor Burres pointed out that none of the seven cases now under quarantine in Urbana have been persons who have been vaccinated. A third case of small pox in Champaign was reported yesterday at 210 Avondale Avenue, where Ralph Slaven, a youth, had contracted the disease.
