On Wednesday last, while Frank Slavin was driving a wagon loaded with straw through the street, near the Railroad depot in Flushing. the straw was discovered to be on fire. The wagon was unloaded, but not in time to save the straw, Slavin's right hand was severely burned and bruised in his efforts to save the horses and wagon, in which he succeeded. The team belonged to Geo. Bradish, Esq. The fire is supposed to have been the work of some mischievous urchins. --Queen's Co. Sentinel
