Cincinnati, Dec. 22-- The jury in the United States Court for the southern district of Ohio, today gave the verdict for the government against three lots of whiskey. The first lot of twenty barrels was claimed by Charles Slavens of New Richmond, Ohio; the second, of 359 barrels, with distillery and rectifying house and fixtures, by the same claiment, and the third of 26 barrels of whiskey and other property was claimed by W.N.O. McMurchy, of New Richmond, Ohio. The defendents in each case moved for a new trial. James T. Werthington, late revenue agent, was the informer. The property condemned is valued at $65,000.
