Sonora Burial for Mrs. Slaven.

Funeral services for Mrs. Belle Slaven, 82. were held 2 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian church with the Rev. Walter Lazenby Jr. officiating.

Mrs. Slaven died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Keeble, 1611 Ash street, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 22, 1874 in Missouri to Boone and Emma Kelley Slaven. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Commerce.

Survivors, other lhan the daughter, include two brothers, Earl Slaven and Guy Slaven, both of Fairlie, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Ed O'Neal, Herschell Clements, Sam Yancey, Chester Shanks, Thomas Young, and Bruce Peck.

Interment was in Sonora cemetery.

Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
