Laddonia Letter.

Mrs. Harvey Slavens died at her home here last Monday after a long illness of paralysis. Funeral services were conducted at the Southern Methodist Church by Rev. W.E. Akens of Vandalia, after which the body was laid to rest in the Laddonia cemetery.

Mrs. Drusilla Smith Slavens

Mrs. Drusilla SLAVENS, wife of Thos. H. SLAVENS, died at her home in Laddonia Monday last at the age of 69. She was a sister of Welty SMITH and of Mrs. Jos. RINAMAN, of this city, and of Columbus SMITH and Britton SMITH. Mrs. SLAVENS left ten children. Her brother, Welty SMITH, went to Laddonia last Saturday to see her and remained until after the funeral.
