Aged Woman Passes Away.

Lancaster, Ky., Feb. 1-- Mrs. Ben Slavin died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nannie Jones, of Danville, after a lingering illness due to general decline, aged 74 years.

Slavin.-- Mrs. Eliza Kennedy Slavin died at her home on North Fourth Street yesterday morning at 3:15 o'clock. She was in the seventy-fourth year of her age and a most excellent and highly respected lady. She was the widow of the late B. F. Slavin and was reared in Garrard county but had been a resident of Boyle for many years. She is survived by five children-- Dr. J. L Slavin, Mr. E. K. Slavin, and Mrs. Nannie B. Jones, of Danville; Mr. J. W. Slavin, of Texas, and Mr. G. R. Slavin, of Garrard county. The funeral will be conducted at the residence on Fourth Street tomorrow morning by Dr. E. M. Green, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, of congregation deceased was a devout member. The burial will take place in the Lancaster cemetery.
