Dies Suddenly in Oakland.

OAKLAND, March 26-- Gilmer Slaven, son of a wealthy butcher in Sacramento who died a few years ago, was taken suddenly ill in a lodging house here yesterday and died two hours later at the East Bay sanitarium, with no physician in attendance. Tuberculosis was the cause of his death.

Decased was 35 years old, a native of Sacramento.
