MRS. LEILA SLAVEN DIES WEDNESDAY.
DEATH CAME AT HOME OF FATHER ON EAST MAIN ST.
WAS 44 YEARS OF AGE.

Mrs. Nimrod Slaven, respected resident of this city, died at the home of her father on east Main street last Wednesday evening after an extended illness, her death being due to tumorous complications from which she had suffered for many months.

Lelia Sears Slaven was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sears and was born at this place August 6th, 1882. She was past forty-four years of age at the time of her death. She grew to womanhood in this community and on December 27, 1908 was united in marriage to Nimrod Slaven. To this union six children were born, of whom, four survive. These are Albert, Mildred, Norma and Alma. Besides the husband and children she also leaves a father and mother and six brothers and two sisters as follows: Elmer, Herman, William, Vernon, Delbert and Floy of this city, Elbert of Detroit, Michigan and Mrs. Helen Ellis of Washington.

Mrs. Slaven was a member of the First Christian church of this city. Her kind disposition and unfailing friendship endeared her to all who knew her and the bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed at this hour.
