On the beautiful Sunday morning of August 8, 1920, Leona Ruth Slavens came into the home of Hiram and Elba Slavens and departed this life, March 29, 1922, aged one year, seven months, and 21 days. She was preceded in death by a little sister, Katharine Elenor, who departed this life January 7, 1918, at the age of 3 and 1/2 days. She leaves to mourn their loss a father, mother, brother Ivan Glenn, and a host of relatives. Leona was as a sun beam in the home and will be missed more than words can tell for she was cheerful and ever ready to greet you with a smile or some childish greeting. Throughout her sickness she has been as patient and kind as could be. Everything that love could suggest was done to save her little life, but God needed another beautiful flower for his garden, so he called her home.
