Roy Slavens.

Roy E. Slavens, 75, of Rt. 2, Prophet's Rock Road, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital at 7:15 p.m. Sunday. He entered the hospital Sunday morning.

Born at Romney, he attended Wea High School and then moved to Lafayette, where he spent his life. He was an Army veteran of World War I and was a member of the World War I Veterans' organization. He worked for 35 years for Sigma Chi Fraternity in West Lafayette, retiring in 1959.

Surviving are a sister, Martha Thomas of Indianapolis; a step-sister, Mrs. Ione Banta or Winslow, and four step-brothers, Scott Acheson of Lafayette, Floyd Acheson of West Point, Howard Acheson of San Francisco, Calif., and Ray Acheson of Phoenix, Ariz.
