Does anyone have any information on Francis Slevin who married Anne Kelly in Fintona in about 1838? Anne's parents were Patrick Kelly and Mary McCarney - probably from Carryglass near Fintona. In 1851 Francis listed his parents as J. Slevan and Bridget. Francis and his family migrated to Australia in that year. One grandson, Paddy Slavin, later moved to England and then Canada. For a while he was the heavyweight boxing champion of Australia and then of England. The rest of the family remained in Australia.
