Hi Dave, My grandmother, Catherine Slaven, married my grandad, Patrick McGlinchey in Derry, Ireland, at the end of the 19th century. Her father was John Slaven who was a peddler, and her mother was Catherine O'Neill. In 1916 my grandparents moved to Glasgow, then to Manchester, where my grandmother died. Don't know if this is any use to you.
