Yeah Meaghan, there's a lot of us around the country!
A lot of the Slavens families in Ohio are descended from John Slavin, who came to America from County Tyrone, (now Northern) Ireland, and settled in Highland County, Virginia. There's some information on John in the "Bios" section of this site, and scattered across the web-- look for John Slavin or Slaven and Highland County.
