My great grandfather was named Jesse Slavens, but I don't think he was the same Jesse. My great grandfather lived and died in McDonald County, Missouri in a town called Pineville. He had a son named Felix, and two daughters by the name of Imagine and Maxine. They are all dead now and only my grandfather Felix had children; three sons, Michael, David and Dennis. I'm the daughter of Michael. Felix and his wife Loraine lived in San Diego, CA. from the time he joined the Navy during WW2. I'm a native San Diegan and I can tell you there are few Slavens here. My uncle Dennis has our Slavens tree traced all the way back to Scotland around the 1700s. I can't remember his first name, the patriarch. I know that Jesse had a father by the name of Goerge Washington Slavens and his brother Thomas Jefferson Slavens. I am not sure if that helps either you or me?
Take care,
Leslie
