Subject: Elizabeth Slaven Virginia and Ohio

I am seeking information on an Elizabeth Slaven born between 1790 and 1810 that would have followed one of John Slaven, Sr's sons into Pike County, Ohio, as a married woman. She was born in Virginia and had a son born in Virginia around 1820. She was only known to me as Mariah prior to today's posting. I now know she was also called Elizabeth. She had a daughter named Elizabeth and it is possible her mother was named Elizabeth. Is there an Elizabeth who married young and would have been or could have been widowed prior to 1820 in Virginia/West Virgnia? Possibly no one knows anything more beyond this. She would have married Isaiah Jaycox in Virginia (Jeacocke/Jacox etc). Nothing can be found on this marriage, especially as a Slaven. The year range is trying to cover discrepancies in the ages listed on census records, you know how that goes! Any new lead would be helpful. Also contact at jwander@stonecarlie.com or 7074 Bancroft Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63109. I would also be grateful to anyone who can help me search the areas of Bath County, Pocahontas, Greenbrier, etc. I have tried other researchers (paid!) who have not been able to find things. The Slaven and Jaycox families are located close together but I cannot seem to connect these families or connect the Jaycox generations around 1780-1820.
