Boy is Caught in Alleged 'Arrest' Fraud; Pays $50.

William Slavin, 16 years old, met two men he had never seen before at 53rd street and Hyde Park boulevard Friday night. One showed him a police badge and informed him he was under arrest. After they put William in a car they told him he'd have to pay $50 or go to jail. So William had them drive to his home at 1301 Oakley boulevard, where he borrowed the $50 from his grandmother and paid off. Yesterday he began to suspect that he'd been swindled and went to police, who are investigating.
