The herdsman Moore, who was arrested with his brother on suspicion of being implicated in the murder of Mr. Henry Wheeler but who was discharged, was yesterday arrested on board a steamer for America, at Cork, under the Protection Act, and conveyed to Kilmainham Gaol. John White, merchant, of Clara, secretary to the local land League, was arrested yesterday at Tullamore, for intimidation at a sale. Another prominent Leaguer was arrested for stone throwing. Lawrence Slevin, farmer, Cloghan, King's County, was arrested yesterday under the Protection Act and lodged in Naas Gaol, charged with being suspected of setting fire to a house.
