Serious Accident.
A Little Boy Burned with Gunpowder.

A little boy, about twelve years old, a son of Hugh Slaven, living in the north part of the city, met with quite a serious accident yesterday afternoon. While amusing himself with some blasting powder, it exploded by taking fire from a lighted match, and burned the little fellow's face, breast, and head quite badly. Dr. George W. New was called in, and is rendering him all the assistance possible, but it is feared that he may entirely lose his eyesight.
