Card playing on the Sabbath is pretty bad business; at least John Lynch and Thomas Slavin
think so this morning. The parties named are about eighteen years of age, and were having
a quiet little game in an unoccupied lot on Eagle street, about three o'clock, yesterday.
Capt. Brown came along, espied them and took them to the Second Station. They were each
fined $5 and costs for the offense, in the Justice Court, today.
