July 27, 1845; (County Leitrim) Barony Mohill, Townland Mullaghbrak, Hugh Slavin and four others. About 1 o'clock a.m. an armed party of men, unknown, about six in number, went to the residences of these persons, demanded and received small sums of money from them, except Hugh Slavin, whom they seriously assaulted. They said they required the money to assist some of their companions who were in gaol.
February 1845: Person attempted to be murdered: Launcelot Slevin, water keeper, County Donegal, Barony of Raphoe, £10 reward.
July 27, 1845; Barony Mohill, Townland Relighart, Bernard Slavin and Michael Kiernan. About 11 o'clock p.m., a party of five men, unknown, entered the houses of Slavin and Kiernan, and directed them, on pain of death, not to work for a bailiff named Huston, who has rendered himself greatly disliked.
