On November 4 a fatal accident occurred at the railway station, Liscooley, which is on the Donegal narrow gauge railway, at a main crossing, and was in charge of a man named Patrick Slevin. He was hurrying to open the gates for a special train from Stranorlar to Strabane, when he was caught up before his duty was completed at the gates, thrown against a post and badly crushed by the passing train. He was conveyed to Lifford Infrimary, where he lingered in great agony till next morning, when he died.
