Farmer Near Wolf Point Dies in Well.

Wolf Point, Mont., July 15-- Remuel Slavens, a homesteader in the vicinity of Prairie Elk postoffice near here, lost his life when he fell into a forty foot well which he was helping dig on a neighbor's farm. The man hed been let down into the well, but becoming sick from dynamite fumes, he called to be pulled up. The man at the windlass had hoisted him almost to the top when he lost conciousness and dropped to the bottom. When finally taken from the well he was dead.

Slavens leaves a wife and four children.
