Boy Drowned in Dundee.

Yesterday afternoon, Daniel Slaven, a boy of nine years, was sliding on a pond, together with a number of companions, in the outskirts of Dundee. Owing to the thaw, the ice was not strong and gave way, and Slaven fell into the water. Three men who had been standing near the pond saw the accident. They at once ran to the boy's assistance, but fully half an hour elapsed before the body was recovered, and life was extinct.
