Half the cases on the City Court watchhouse list yesterday, which numbered twenty-nine charged, were cases of drunkeness... Peter Slevin, an old pensioner, claimed exemption on the ground that Thursday was the anniversary of one of his victories, and he was celebrating it, when he got a cup too much. The Mayor set it at liberty, but told him not to have any more anniversaries.
