A young man named William Slavin received a severe gunshot wound in the groin at Northampton on Friday in peculiar circumstances. D. Ahern fired a bullet at a bullock, and the ball glanced off a horn of the beast and struck Slavin. The injured man was brought to the Geraldton Hospital, where he is progressing favourably.
