A highway robbery was last night committed on Railroad avenue. Mr. Wm. H. Bradley was proceeding up the road, when he was seized by the throat and knocked down. While he was held prostate the thieves took his pocket-book, containing $52, a silver watch, a breast-pin, and two rings from his fingers. His cries for help reached the ears of an officer, and the ruffians ran away. They were pursued by the officer, and John Slavin was caught. Mr. Bradley also thinks that a man named Curley was of the party. Both men were held for examination.
