Arrested On a Charge of Perjury.

ALBANY, April 5-- George W. Slavens was arrested to-day at Sweet Home on a charge of perjury in testifying in the case of James A. Hearing, of Sweet Home, in the United States court at Portland a few months since, at which time Hearing was sentenced to the penitentiary for perjury in taking proof on land claims. Mrs. Hearing claims that Slavens swore falsely against her husband and procured his arrest. He will have a preliminary examination in this city to-morrow.
