C.T. Slavens of Pittsburg, Kan. has arrived in Miami to take charge of the Salvation Army work here. Relief work here is being personally directed by Mr. Slavens and the organization plans to hold moeetings at the corners of Main and Central avenue to finance the work. The work of the Salvation Army consists of five families a week here besides visiting the sick. At later date the organization plans to open a Sunday School in the city.
