Fredericksburg, March 25: The schooner Betsy, Jesse Slaven, master, belonging to this port, and bound into the river with a load of corn, was lost on New-Point Comfort, about the 9th instant, and all on board perished. We also learn that the sloop Betsey, John Cook, master, was lost in York river, and no account has been received of the crew.

Pennsylvania Mercury and Universal Advertiser (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), April 1, 1790.

Note: Although there was no notation, the Fredericksburg was likely the one in Virginia, as Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania, is not located on a navigatable river. Also, New Point Comfort is in Virginia.
