Governor Sparks Leaves for Bay to Attend John W. Slavin, Ill With Pneumonia.
Governor John Sparks left for San Francisco last night to be in attendance at the bedside of his lifelong friend, John W. Slavin, who is critically ill at his home in Bay City. Governor Sparks received the sad news yesterday morning.
Mr. Slavin is perhaps one of the best known stock men in the west. He is known to almost every stockman in Nevada and for years made this city his headquarters.
