TWO ENGINES MEET!

And a Bad Wreck Follows, In Which an Engineer and Brakeman Meet Death.

PITTSBURG, Nov. 23.--Two freight trains on the Cleveland and Pittsburg road collided at Hammondsville this morning. Both engines and a number of loaded cars were demolished. One engineer, named Whitacre, had his leg crushed. The engineer on the other train, named Dolphin, and brakeman, named Slaven, are missing, and are supposed to be in the wreck.

Later.

Engineer T. Dolphin, of Wellsville, Ohio, and Brakeman Slaven, of Ravenna, Ohio, were caught in the wreck and killed. Conductor George Reese and Engineer O. R. Whittacre were seriously, but not fatally injured. The accident was caused by the crew of the extra disobeying orders. The Ioss is heavy.
