Pres. Slavin Got a Bale of Cotton.

He Was the Holder of the Lucky Number Given by the Hibernians.

For the benefit of the order, the members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians had a drawing last night at their hall for a bale of cotton. There was a large crowd present, and the picture of the evening was enhanced when it became known that the holder of the ticket, No. 163, that won the prize was held by their honored president, Mr. Patrick Slavin. What he will do with the bale of cotton is not known, but he may hold it for a better price than now prevails.
