A letter received at Richmond, from Col. Baldwin's camp on top of the Alleghany Mountains, says a stealing expedition of four or five hundred Lincolnites made an excursion from their Camp at Cheat Mountain, on the 23rd ult., to Green Bank. They robbed the stores of J.S. Wooddell, Slaven's, and others, and also the Green Bank Post Office. They also arrested and carried off Mr. J.H. Gum.

Col. Baldwin was about to detach a force in pursuit of them.
