Ann Slavin, an old and respected resident of this city, passed away this noon at her home, 259 South street. The deceased was a devout Catholic and member of St. Peter's church, and was well liked by all with whom she came in contact. Her death will come as a shock to her many friends.
The deceased is survived by a husband, James Slavin, the well-known contractor, and four daughters, Misses Mary and Rose Slavin, Mrs. John H. McNabb, and Mrs. Webster. The deceased was 70 years of age.
