LADDONIA — Mrs. Anna May Gilbert, 89, Laddonia, died at 11 a.m. Thursday at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico. She had been a patient there for five days.
She was born Nov. 24, 1889, in Audrain County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Slavens. She married William Gilbert, Feb. 18, 1936, who preceded her in death March 27, 1971.
Mrs. Gilbert lived in Laddonia all her life and was a member of the Laddonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Dean Slavens, Farber; three step—children, Carl Gilbert, Eurmal Bross, both of Hannibal; and Mrs. Margaret Hagan, Palmyra; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bienhoff Funeral Home, Laddonia, with burial in the Laddonia Cemetery. The Rev. Cleo Sexton will officiate at the service.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
