Rite Arranged for C.W. Slaven.

FRANK, Oct. 9—(Special)—Services will be held Wednesday for Charles Warwick Slaven, 86, life-long resident of this Pocahontas County community, who died Monday at his home.

A retired employee of a local cannery, he was a member of a pioneer family who settled in the county shortly after it was founded.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Oscar Slaven of Bartow; one brother, Gratz B. Slaven of Greenback; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Methodist Church at Bartow. Burial will follow at Goodsell Cemetery under the direction of Wallace and Wallace Mortuary of Cass.

The body will be taken to the church an hour prior to the service.
