Final Rites Held for Mrs. Slavens

Final respects were paid to Mrs. Edna Slavens, 76, of Holley who died Nov. 21, on the afternoon of Nov. 23 in the Church of Christ at Holley.

She was born in Crafordsville in 1878, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robnett. She was married to George Slavens in 1914, and spent her entore life in the Calapooya valley, except for intervals when she taught elementary schools in Oregon and Montana.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Virgil Grogan of Portland. Mrs. Don Dahlgren was organist and Mrs. Lu Sisto sang.

Pallbearers were Charlie McClun, Delbert Rice, Percy Banta, Arthur Wigle, Fred Malone, and Loren Rice. Concluding services were at the Crawfordsville Union cemetery.
