Edward Slaven, Lifelong Local Resident, Dies

Edward Slaven, 73, lifelong resident of Muscatine, died at 4 p. m., Wednesday following an illness of two years with a complication of ailments.

He was born in Muscatine on Dec. 28, 1875, the son of Edward and Mary McDonald Slaven. The only survivor is a sister, Mrs. Roy Zoller, Muscatine. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters and one brother. The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. J. T. Baker, rector ot Trinity Episcopal church. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
