Mrs. Ella T. Spear

Services for Mrs. Ella Towslee Spear, 93, a prominent clubwoman here, will be 3 p.m. tomorrow in the Brown Son & Forward funeral home, 17022 Kinsman Road, Shaker Heights. She died Friday at her home, 3075 Meadowbrook Boulevard, Cleveland Heights.

Mrs. Spear was born in Lodi, Ohio, and attanded Oberlin College, where she married Dr. Charles L. Webster in 1888. After he died in 1905 she married Monroe W. Spear.

Mrs. Spear had been president of the Women’s Republican Club and president of the Women’s Club, of which she was a charter member. She was also a member of the Women’s City Club, the Daughters of American Colonists, the Martha Bolton Club and the Society of New England Women. For a long time she was on the board of Woman's Hospital.

Surviving her are a son, Paul T. Webster, president of the Central Petroleum Co.; a stepson, John C. Spear; stepdaughter, Mrs. Marion S. Stratton; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
