Ex-Laddonia Resident Dies.

LADDONIA—Mrs. Erma F. Slavens, 85, formerly of Laddonia, died at 6:50 a.m. today at the Pin Oaks Nursing Home in Mexico. She had been a resident there since August.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia, with the Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Laddonia Cemetery.

Visitation hours are after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Slavens was born Oct. 10, 1894, to Charles and Alice Peak. On Oct. 15, 1919, she married William Fletcher Slavens in Laddonia. The couple resided near there most of their life. Mr. Slavens preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Darline) Chrismer, and a son, Walter, both of Laddonia; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Georgia Slavens, Wellsville.

Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Slavens was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Perry.
