Old Troy Resident Dies at Rochester.

St. Charles. Minn.-- Special to The Republican-Herald-- Frank Slavin of Troy, eight miles south of St. Charles, died at 4:30 p. m. Friday at the Colonial hospital at Rochester. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Slavin was a resident of Winona county most of his life and for the last 15 years operated the store at Troy. Prior to that he operated a farm in that vicinity.

He was born April 16, 1881, in Quebec, Canada, and came to the county when a boy. He married Miss Margaret Thompson of the Troy community Jan. 16, 1888.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Ralph and George of Troy; four brothers, Andrew, Edward, William and Joseph of Yaklma, Wash., and two sisters, Mrs. A. Schuller of Yakima and Miss Jean Slavin of Seattle, Wash.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Charles Catholic church by the Rev. W.E.F. Griffin and burial will be in Saratoga cemetery.
