Services Held for George Slavin, 54.

Chatfleld, Minn.-- (Special)-- Funeral services were conducted Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church here for George Willard Slavin, who died Saturday at his home in Troy, Minn., after illness of nine years from a brain tumor. The Rev. William Coleman officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were George F. and Ralph Slavin, Gerald Lynch and Harold, John and Joseph Manahan.

Mr. Slavin was born December 27, 1891 in Saratoga township. He married Miss Nellie Manahan November 29, 1919 in Chatfleld. He was clerk of Saratoga town board for 20 years preceding his death and was a member of St. Charles chapter No. 628, Modern Woodmen of America.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Joseph, at home; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Slavin, and a brother, Ralph Slavin, all of Troy.
