Mr. James Slaven, an old and respected resident of Mount Barker, while on his way to the Presbyterian Church this morning, fell down in a fit. He was conveyed to Gray's Inn. Dr. Weld, who was promptly in attendance, pronounced it to be a case of apoplexy. He died in about ten minutes after his seizure.
