James Slavin, one of the most highly respected Irish residents of Waterbury, died at his home, 401 Dublin street, Saturday afternoon, after a lingering illness. Mr. Slavin was 60 years of age. He lives eight children. The funeral took place at the Sacred Heart Church Monday morning, where a mass of requiem was celevrated by the Rev. Father Treanor. Interment was in the family plot in St. Jospeh's Cemetery.
