Dr. John J. Slevin of 47 East 126th Street, brother of Municipal Court Justice William E. Slevin, died yesterday in Midtown Hospital, 309 East Forty-ninth Street, afetr a fortnight's illness of pneumonia, complicated by a heart attack. He was 58 years old and had been a general practictioner of medicine in Harlem for more than thirty years.
The near relatives surviving, in additon to his brother, are his widow, the former Caroline Nelson; three sons, John, Robert, and William Slevin; two daughters, Ruth and Edna Slevin, and a sister, Mrs. Robert J. Frost.
Dr. Slevin received his medical degree from Long Island College Hospital; in 1900.
