John M. Slavin, 75, of 610 Fortieth st., lifelong resident of Des Moines and vicinity, died Sunday at Mercy hospital after an illness of several months.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesdya in St. Augistine's church, with burial at St. Ambrose cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the Conley-O'Meara Funeral home.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Sloan, Des Moines, and Sister Mary Aloyasius (S.N.D.), Cincinnati, Ohio; five sons, James and Nate Slavin of Des Moines, John of Chicago, Ill., Frank of Denver, Colo., and Al Slavin, San Antonio, Tex., and 10 grandchildren.
